Hero Bags delivered to our local sailors

Each year, Teacher Julie Coyle includes a community focused activity as part of the Home Economics curriculum. The Hero Bag project was coordinated as a small gesture of gratitude to our local service men and women. The Hero Bags are used as Laundry bags, for easy identification of their dirty clothes on the ships and submarines or to store their personal items on board.

21 Hero Bags were made by Year 11 & 12 Comet Bay College students and delivered to HMAS Stuart and HMAS Dechaineux on Thursday 26th July.

Comet Bay College are keen to acknowledge and honour the service made by all ADF members, in particular during deployment or when their service involves time away from their families due to postings, training and exercises. Our Hero bags are a small way to give back and let the service men and women know that we are thinking of them and appreciate their service.
