Michael Redman represented WA as a part of the AFL NAB WA 17’s Talent program. The State 17’s game is a new initiative which is scheduled to be an annual event between Western Australia and South Australia to showcase 17 year old talent. Involvement in this program is a precursor to being involved in the AFL NAB State 18’s National Championships which is the primary event prospective AFL Draftee’s are selected from.
Deon Welhan is a member of the AFL NAB WA16’s program which selects the 30 most talented 16 year old’s in Western Australia. Like the 17’s this program is run directly by the AFL. The 16’s is an entry into the Talent Program that if successful leads to involvement in the 18’s Program and a potential draft selection.
