The Governor visits our STEM display

Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC, Governor of Western Australia, visited the College recently, along with the Mayor of Rockingham, Barry Sammels, and Deputy Mayor, Deb Hamblin, and Her Excellency’s Aide, Captain Brett Fowler, to view our work in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths education.

Whilst only able to visit for a short time, the group were overwhelmed with the foyer display, the College’s new Maker Space, our STEM video, students working on CAD, 3D printing, soldering circuit boards, mechatronics and robotics display, drone display, EV car demonstration and plasma cutter demonstration.

Well done to Phil Casas and Morgan Hill for leading the visit, to Peter Trott, Glen Olsson, Clay Woolcock, Jamie Wellman and Denis Niven for their demonstrations and student participation and to Fiona Howarth for her behind the scenes support for the visit.
