CoderDojo at Comet Bay College

What is a CoderDojo?

CoderDojo is a global movement of free, volunteer-led, community based programming clubs for young people. At a Dojo, young people between 7 and 17 learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology in an informal and creative environment.

During the last school holidays, Comet Bay College teacher Michelle Huma and six CoderDojo mentors assisted 35 ninjas to create their first website using HTML and CSS coding languages at a CoderDojo held at UWA.

The camp was a huge success with some really positive feedback received from participants.

“My favourite activity was making websites and programming my robot.”

“I had always wondered how proper websites were created and now I know.”
