On Monday 27th July, Julie Coyle’s Fashion & Style Year 10 class were very excited to have textile artist Julie Smith attend their lesson. She brought with her some of her amazing wearable art costumes to show the students.
They were very inspired by her designs and are keen to get started on their own creations to enter in the Mandurah Stretch Festival Common Threads wearable art competition.
The students are fortunate to have more local artists coming into the classroom in the next couple of weeks. It is wonderful that they have given up their time to mentor our students.
This competition is open to adults and youth entries. Check out the City of Mandurah website for more information.
